ANS Performance have announced a new amino acids supplement called Amino HP. They have once again set the bar high for an amino acids product with some new unconventional ingredients added to the mix. Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients they have announced so far. First, there is the standard BCAA at a 2:1:1 ratio dosed at 5 grams per serving. This is pretty straightforward for an amino acid supplement. However, and this is where it gets interesting, they have added 5 grams of a blend they call “Muscle HorsePower Complex” and state that these ingredients have been added for ”their ability to impact muscle contraction and power output”. This 3.8 grams proprietary blend consist of taurine, amentoflavone and choline bitartrate. Let’s see how each of these ingredients affect the body:
Taurine: Adding taurine to BCAA delays the onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and reduces muscle damage via anti-inflammatoy action.
Amentoflavone: A polyphenolic compound that is said to increase muscle strength, improve blood flow and prolong muscle contraction. It can improve contraction by releasing 20x calcium in the muscles compared to caffeine.
Choline Bitartrate: This B vitamin-like molecule has been shown to improve exercise performance and reduce fatigue.
The question is, are there any more ingredients in this Amino HP supplement they have not revealed yet? We will keep in touch with the ANS Performance and keep you updated!
