Stimulant-Free pre-workout

Have you ever thought about the benefits of a workout without stimulants? It’s not a question that you hear too often if at all. However, the benefits of a stimulant free pre-workout are much greater than you think.

When it comes to getting the most out of your workout, most of us have been taught to believe that using stimulants for your pre-workout is the only way to go. Fortunately, that is not always the case. For at least 10% of bodybuilders, there is absolutely no benefit to using stimulants, and these individuals need to seek other methods to get the results they want.

If you are in that 10% then you probably already know about it, because you’ve tried every supplement under the sun, but never got the results that you saw or heard about others achieving. The truth is, many of these people have a natural intolerance to stimulants and this can hinder their ability to have productive and effective workouts.

The various side effects can continue throughout the day, making your day to day life much more difficult, but fortunately there are alternatives for people in these situations.

Alternative Pre-Workout Supplements

For those of us that fit into that 10%, or if you just don’t like stimulants, there are several alternatives. Science has come a long way in creating some extraordinary alternative supplements that have earned the attention and recognition of bodybuilders on both sides of the issue.

Benefits of Supplements without Stimulants

Pre-workouts that use no stimulants can now reap the same rewards as those with stimulants, without any of the negative side effects of stimulants like caffeine and others. These stimulant-free supplements provide “clean” energy that is achieved through vitamins and speeding up your metabolism.

They also offer benefits that come from things like creatine, advanced pump matrixes, and much more. Pre- workouts that don’t include stimulants can protect you from the jitters, adrenal fatigue, and many other conditions.

Getting Off Stimulants

In order to give your body a break and prevent conditions like adrenal fatigue, it’s important to have at least one stimulant free workout a week. Taking at least 3 or 4 breaks a year from stimulants is highly recommended, and can help strengthen your body’s internal communication system, which becomes more and more important as your fitness and weight training progresses.

While there are many benefits to stimulant-based pre-workouts and the occasional fat burner, the truth is, that taking them every for extended periods of time is just not good for you.  One way to break up the constant influx of stimulants is to take off one day a week as suggested above. You can also do something more drastic, such as four months on and two months.

Once you’ve stopped taking stimulants, you will probably notice your natural energy returning. Conversely, when you go back to the stimulants you will feel a much stronger surge of energy similar to the first time you took them. The important thing is to find a system that works for you, but still allows you to stay healthy while reaching your fitness goals.
